Last week I went for a business trip to the famous Borneo Island (Kalimantan). My 3 days trip covered the east and south side of Kalimantan. I depart from Jakarta to Balikpapan. In Balikpapan I visit Hempel Branch (showed in photo). On the same day I went to Samarinda by car, it took me 2 hours plus to reach Samarinda. The next day, I took a plan to Banjarmasin, the southeast part of Kalimantan. In Balikpapan actually I made a plan with Gunawan 
(Metal 98) to meet him another 2 of my friends from UI (Universitas Indonesia) last time. But due to my tight schedule, I can’t meet them. However I managed to call my high school friend, Andy arvian and also got indo about Rido in Banjarmasin. In Banjarmasin, I met rido which is now a police officer. Basically we have a long talk and a bit of reunio
n in there. One thing that I can conclude from my chit chat is about Idealism. Everyone must have idealism, especially if you are educated in a strict family or school (like my highschool-Taruna Nusantara). However, along with time, situation and condition these things will be wear off. Until realism finally wipe out our idealism. But is that true? Is it happening to all of us? Let me take a simple example from my experience. If you are driving in the middle of Jakarta crowded traffic, and everybody has their own rules, what would you do? Would you follow your idealism and stick to the regulations or you follow the realism? What do you think.....

kalo gua seh orangnya idealist, perfectionist, and realistis at the same time... *nah loh*
nah loh...ini mah gk menjawab pertanyaan mit..masalahnya kan idealis sama realistis itu berlawanan...gue jg itu tanya dari microsoft word, antonymnya idealis itu realistis..heheheheh..trus gimana donk...
boleh aja idealisme dipertahankan tp kalo situasi ga memungkinkan,buat apa? simpan dalam hati aja,zaman skarang emang hrs realistis kalo ga,ntar jd stress sendiri,gila deh...he..he..he....
nah itu dia, susah2x gampang emang mempertahankan idealisme.Tapi kadang realisme dinegara kita ini yang susah, kl masalah traffic masih mending.tapi kl udah masalah korupsi gimana, kl sekitar kita korupsi, gaji kita kecil, dan sekeliling terlihat makmur dengan gaji yang sebenernya sama..what would we do?....

hehe this kind of thing really difficult to answer..
sometimes we have a principal that we hold for a very long time, but we withdraw it the moment we see the reality and follow others.
so it depends on how you value your idealism, is it worth it to hold on to it, if it is then just stick to it, otherwise may be we need to be more flexible.
Well sometimes we do need to be flexible on certain things, but i think we also have some principle in life..right...
But I think idealism is something that actually can be achieved, its not something that is impossible. But sometimes the situation or the condition makes things difficult or seems to be impossible to achieve..bener kata titin, it depends on how strong we want to hold to our idealism...
Hehehe... Idealistis vs Realistis ya??? Wah susah neh... Mending 50-50 aja. Hehehe... =P Mungkin more likely to be flexible.. Which ever that makes you happy. =D
iya sih bear...kl disingapore itu orang is so idealis sehingga kurang flexible kadang2x, kl disini orang terlalu flexible sehingga lupa akan yang bener. baru aja tadi pagi gue menghadapi ini lagi dikantor, gue tau itu gk bener, jadinya berantakan. tp orang udah terbiasa dgn itu, jadi susah untuk merubah..yah..kl mau dipikirin semua bisa stress..urusin yang berhubungan langsung aja d, yang lainnya, i prefer not to know, not to hear and not to see..heheheh
ya,idealisme itu harus fleksibel,dan itu tergantung juga sama individunya,kalo soal korupsi,gue tetap ga setuju,biar gaji kecil yg penting jujur,halal,hati bahagia,klise sih tapi kalo bukan kita2 yang mulai,siapa lagi???
