Work hard, play hard

Last night I went for my farewell with my colleagues. Most of them are from the Pow Wow Committee (from left to right :Lily, Joe, Zaharah, Nicky, Shawn, Parlin, Dorai). We went to a place call Samy's Curry Restaurant in Dempsey Road, on the right side of Holland road if you are going towards orchard. The place is quite remote, however it's very cozy. The building is like the colonial type of building, so the ambiance makes u feel eating in an exotic place. I actually have been there for a few times, the first time was after a jog in botanical gardens with my colleague, Shawn and lily. And I love the taste of the food. The food is from southern India, and it is very tasty. I like the chicken, the curry, the prawns, and basically everything. They normally serve it with banana leaf, which makes it more exotic. If you see in the picture above the middle one is fish head curry, and I love the curry taste, well maybe not for you who don't like spicy. The visitors in this restaurant mostly are westerners, or what Singaporeans refer to "Ang mo". And you know what, this restaurant was recorded in the New York times under traveling. Well I don't really care, as long as they serve good food.
After the dinner we went to my place, to chit chat and sat by the pool while enjoying the taste of Australian Wine that my colleague, Joe, bring after his last trip to down under. We talked about the issues (actually gossip) in the office, activities, the next and last Triathlon events and also ghost stories. I just knew that our office is that scary from their story. Some has experiences to hear sounds or see stuffs while working late, thanks God I don't have to work late. Well anyway it was a fun night, and my friend gave me a souvenir as a remembrance. I'm really going to miss working in Singapore Office. Well anyway, i will be coming back here (Singapore Office) anytime if there is any meetings or conference in Singapore. But i will miss the activities that our Singapore office has, like the Triathlon, marathon, the paint ball war, the bowling, family day and the dinner and dance. Well, i believe that there's going to be a lot of new things happen later on in Jakarta's office, definitely more busy with the work. As what they say, Work hard, Play hard.
